Despite a torn ligament sustained to his shooting hand (thumb) just 1 hour before the state semifinal game, Challenger senior guard Jerrod Hess scored 15 points to lead Cascade Christian past defending 3A state champion Regis 46-42, and into the final against Horizon Christian. Hess would later be named to the second team all-tournament team. (Photo by Max Brown)
